Exclusive Hire

You can hire the whole Hostel throughout the year. Check our calendar to see if your weekend is available and pricing. To book, or hold a weekend, get in touch by email or phone, we even have a special offer at the bottom of the page! Early booking is recommended.

Whether you are celebrating a 40th birthday or a 70th with with family and friends, or perhaps a reunion with old friends… our lovely hostel becomes your large family home for the weekend!

It is perfect for walking groups, running clubs, company nights away to do some team building, board game clubs and church groups, to name but a few, and is simply a great place for people to meet, relax a little, and enjoy each other’s company.

We can sleep up to 42, in 11 rooms. There is a link to the bed plan at the bottom of the page to help you figure out where everyone will sleep.

Usually, exclusive hire bookings are at weekends, you have the place from 4.00pm on the Friday until 12.00 on the Sunday, there is a two-night minimum. For bank holiday weekends there is a three night minimum stay and over New Year it is four nights. If booked well in advance, we may be able to have a one night exclusive hire during the week.

When you arrive we we’ll give the group organiser (or someone nominated by them) a tour of the Hostel, let you know how things work, where everything is and will make sure you’re all set up for your stay, and then we’ll leave you to it. We’re not that far away (our house is connected to the Hostel) and we’re very happy to come and help if you need anything or have any questions.

When you arrive, all of the beds are made-up and ready to sleep in. We have really good WIFI thoughout the building and we provide as many logs as you will need for the wood-burning stove. It is a warm and cosy home from home for a weekend.

Meals

It is really easy for us to cook you a group evening meal, breakfast and provide packed lunches. Take a look at the Food and Drink section of the website to get an idea of what’s on offer. We can provide the current menu and a list of the group meals that are available. Depending on how the group is organised we can either invoice you in advance or you can pay for food during your visit. We can agree what works best for you when you make the booking.

Self-catering Kitchen

We have a well-equipped guest kitchen for preparing your own meals. Just bring your own ingredients, pre-prepared meals, or simply order your shopping in advance to be delivered here from a supermarket. Our self catering kitchen has 6 electric rings, 2 large ovens, 2 fridges (one with a small freezer), kettles, toasters and microwaves, plenty of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans, washing-up equipment and a pile of tea towels. Basically everything you will need to feed a big group for a few days!
