Good To Know

All the beds are made up and ready when you get here, we even have extra pillows if you would like them! None of the rooms have en-suite facilities.

Check-in Times

Check in is between 4pm and 9pm, sorry early check in is not possible. Checkout is 8am to 10am.

Towels & Toiletries

Towels are not provided although they can be hired for £2.50 All sinks have anti-bacterial hand-wash. We also have toothbrushes, toothpaste and little bottles of shampoo etc. for sale from reception if you need them.

How to Get here by Public Transport

The nearest train station is Skipton, take the No.72 bus from the train station (you may have to change at Grassington to the 72a which brings you to Kettlewell), if you get off the bus at the Kettlewell village store and you are just a one-minute walk from the hostel. If you need a taxi whilst you are here: Frank Inocco; 07940 753 524, pre-booked only.

Parking

We have parking for seven cars at the hostel if they all breathe in, however there is plenty more parking in the village. When you get here it may be necessary to unload your car and park elsewhere in the village (we may be able to help find a spot). The £3 car park opposite the garage is often the best choice, you can pay at the Hostel or at the village petrol station. We are very fond of our neighbours, please respect no-parking signs.

Pets

Pets are not permitted at the Kettlewell Hostel, sorry. Assistance dogs are welcome.

Cancellations

If you would like to change or cancel your booking, please get in touch via email to hello@thekettlewellhostel.co.uk. For individual and room bookings, you can get a 90% refund if your booking is cancelled before 12.00-lunchtime on the day before your booking starts, after that no refunds will be made (Exclusive hire and group bookings terms may be different) Please see our Terms and Conditions for further details.

   Verified Excellent Hostel
I have stayed here a couple of times. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. The hostel is clean, it has stacks of books, and excellent kitchen and dining room. On my last visit a cosy wood-burning stove lifted the temperature of the lounge!

Great independent hostel, Floss and Saul are very amiable hosts. Good food (homemade marmalade's & yogurt) and a selection of local bottled beers. Hostel also contains a used bookshop. Good times, I will be back - thanks

   Verified A great option
A really good option in what is generally an expensive area. It is an Hostel but does have some private rooms and meals are available. The owners are super friendly and have created a place with great facilities. A great kitchen if you wish to cook for yourself. And nice dining and lounge areas. Shared showers on the upper floor are excellent.

   Verified Dales way stopover
Floss and Saul are really friendly and welcoming, the food is fantastic and surroundings very comfortable, it’s the perfect stopover for walking the Dales way or just visiting the area, Kettlewell is a beautiful village too.

   Verified The best YHA in beautiful countryside with great walks and a super place to stay.
The best YHA! So welcoming, clean yet homely and the owners Saul and Floss are experts at treating each customer individually. I haven’t been here for about a year but felt immediately at home and relaxed. Had three lovely days walking in beautiful surroundings, managing to avoid the rain too. Recommend this independent hostel to anyone. It seems to attract very pleasant folk too, so good conversation flows - if you want to engage with others. Enough areas to ‘get away’ if you want peace and quiet too. A very pleasant resetting which was much needed. Thank you

   Verified Een heerlijke plek om te verblijven!
In augustus was ik met 2 vriendinnen in Kettlewell voor een singer songwriter cursus en we verbleven in The Kettlewell Hostel. Wat een heerlijke plek! Hele fijne hosts. Goede stapelbedden/matrassen, schone douches en toiletten (wel zelf je handdoek meenemen), heerlijk eten (incl goede lunchpakketten) en een prachtige tuin om in te zitten. Ook in de eet- en de woonkamer is het goed vertoeven met een uitgebreide boekenkast. Een echte aanrader!

   Verified Singing and Walking in the Dales during the Scarecrow Festival
I booked the hostel for a group of singers from The Netherlands for a week of workshops and walks. Its a perfect location and excellent service from Floss and Saul. Food is great, beds are comfortable and the whole week went perfectly. It's a home from home, highly recommend!
