Our Second-Hand Bookshop
In our second-hand bookshop, we have a fantastic range of titles for you to browse, borrow or buy whilst you are here. We have poetry and plays, nature writing and travel, and a great range of contemporary fiction to enjoy. It may not be the largest bookshop you will have seen but we’re proud of the range of the range of books on offer. Whether you gravitate towards J.R.R., J.K., P.J. or G.K. there is something for everyone, and time passes happily with a good read!
The bookshop starts in our reception, on into the dining room and then up to the lounge. You are more than welcome to browse and read whilst you are here and purchase if you want you take a book home.
We also sell the invaluable ‘Walks from Kettlewell’ – 9 easy to follow walks that you can start at the Hostel door – as well as Ordinance Survey maps, both the land ranger and laminated explorer, covering all the routes from Kettlewell, up over Great Whernside and Buckden Pike, over to Malham, and along the Dales Way. Maps make perfect souvenirs of a trip, and might even encourage you to come back again!
